On the morning of 21th November, the signing ceremony between Central South University(Hereafter CSU)and GEM Co., Ltd (Hereafter GEM)’s co-building resources recycling research center(Hereafter Center) was held in Central South University.

Emceed by professor Huang Jianbo, the deputy president of CSU, the ceremony was joined by president Zhang Yaoxue, vice president Zhou Kechao, GEM’s presidentProf. Xu, deputy general manager Wang Min, vice manager Mu Jian and so on. The chief of HR, director of resources recycling research college professor Guo had given a brief introduction of the center. As the herald in circular economy field, the biggest enterprise for urban mining recycling and advanced materials remanufacturing in China, GEM is the national circular economy and educational demonstration pilot, national demonstration base, and also a support organization for the Chinese National WEEE Recycling Engineering Research Center. And Central South University, a national “211”,”985” high-level college, owns great influence world-wide, especially in resources recycling and new energy materials research.

In responding to the fifth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, to build the resource-reserving and environmentally-friendly society, both parties agreed to, wave its potentials and provide key technology and talents for the internationalization of resource recycling.

Prof. Xu had addressed a wonderful speech, pointing out that only by mastering the innovative and core technology can we lead the situation. The center is going to recruit international talents and break through the key technology of resources recycling and new energy materials manufacturing. It’s going to be a silicon valley aimed at being the core recycling center in China with its PhD talents and advanced equipment. Meanwhile, Prof. Xu had thanked Central South University for its cultivation and its long time supports.

On the ceremony, Prof. Xu had been invited to become once again anAdjunct Professor in Central South University.

At the end, president Zhang had thanked GEM for its contribution to the university for so long, and wished the research center to grab every opportunity to achieve more. He also hoped that GEM will get better and better.
